On March 01, 2006, the BC Forum & FPAC Symposium "Value Focused Forestry" will convene forest sector leaders to discuss and plan the future of BC's "value focused forest sector". Scheduled for half a day in downtown Vancouver, the symposium will explore the possibility of a new paradigm in BC that shifts from a focus on volume-based production orientation to one that seeks to maximize the value obtained from our forests. The theme of the symposium is designed around alternative production strategies that could serve to augment an already strong commodity manufacturing sector. |
